Pardalotus Scholarly Publishing Technology Map

Here is a list of concepts and organizations that may be useful to developers or techies in scholarly publishing, especially early-career. It's not (yet) complete, authoritative, or objective! Just things I've come across whilst working in scholarly publishing.

This file is available in Turtle format if you prefer. Yes, it's an ontology but not on purpose.

It is maintained by Joe Wass, and licensed CC BY-NC 4.0. All contributions welcome, please submit a merge request!

Ontology or Taxonomy

An Ontology is a formal method for organizing information. Usually with RDF. Taxonomies talk about types of things, and ontologies talk about specific things. But there's no reason to differentiate here.
